New Domain

In all the documentation about WordPress To Go, the website domain is quoted as wordpress2go.com. That domain, together with its website, has been in existence for a good number of years and has had a growing audience. But I’ve recently been advised (by someone who knows all about this stuff) that the domain name breaches the WordPress copyright.

Well, naive little me had no idea that I had infringed a copyright and, of course, I intended no harm to WordPress. But I do not want to be on the wrong side of the law and I do not want to offend anyone.

So, I have registered another domain which now houses my website at www.wp2go.website – that’s here! I have deleted the previous website and redirected the domain to this one.

This has no effect of the content of my book, except perhaps to warn my readers to check their new domain name carefully so as not to fall into trouble like me!

New Version Of My Book

As of 1 March 2016 I have revised and updated my WordPress To Go eBook and the equivalent paperback.

As well as featuring the latest version of WordPress I have also switched my recommended host to SiteGround. Why? What’s the matter with Hostgator?

There’s nothing wrong with Hostgator. If you’ve already signed up with them then fine: stick with them and keep your website going strong.

HostGator has made WordPress a breeze! Optimized WP Packages for as low as $9.95 a month!

The reason I changed my recommendation is that Hostgator have been taken over and are now part of a large hosting conglomerate. This means that other people are running the company and they are no longer independent.

SiteGround is an independent company and they have operations in many parts of the globe. They are excellent WordPress hosts which is why  I’ve  switched  to  them.
